Margot Robbie following her breakout success in the films “Wolf of Wall Street” (which many argue she should’ve been nominated for) and “Suicide Squad”, Robbie has become one of the most sought after actresses and is one of the hardest working actresses in hollywood.
In addition to co-producing the upcoming Suicide Squad spin off film, “Gotham City Sirens”, production on the much anticipated biopic I, Tonya about the contraversal figure skater Toyna Harding, which Robbie stars in and produced through her production company LuckyChap Entertainment.
She is also playing Daphne de Selincourt, the wife of A.A. Milne who created Winnie the Pooh, in a biopic about his life.
She will star opposite Garret Hedlund in Michael Michael Carnahan’s “Violent Talent” and Robbie will also be starring and producing an action movie about Maid Marrian, AND THAT’S NOT EVEN ALL OF HER UPCOMING ROLES!!!
Now she can add another movie to that packed slate, an exclusive from Variety Robbie has just signed on to play Queen Elizabeth, opposite two time Academy Nominee Saoirse Ronan in the Working Title produced “Mary Queen of Scots” which will be directed by Josie Rourke.
The movie chronicles the true story of Mary Stuart’s attempt to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth I, Queen of England, only to find herself condemned to years of imprisonment before facing execution.
Sounds interesting, and I’ll bet this will probably get an awards consideration realese date once filming is wrapped, though the film has yet to be greenlit.
