Based on the book The Operators, the movie follows Pitt’s character a brash and unorthadox General sent into the clean up the mess that has become the eight year war in Afghanistan.

The trailer plays like a screwball black comedy, with Pitt turning in a performance similar to that of his Inglorious Basterds character. It looks like a fun take on the political war drama genre.

“War Machine” hits theaters May 29, 2017.

Next up we have

“IT”, the highly anticipated adaption/remake of acclaimed author Stephen King’s book of the same nam

Directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”) and written by Cary Fukunaga (“Beasts of No Nation”) and Chase Palmer. The movie follows the same plot of the novel, kids begin to dissapear and it’s up to a group of neighborhood kids to crack the case.

The trailer boasts an dark and grim atmosphere that is a welcome necessity when telling a story like this, couple that with some creepy imagery and sharp tone and you got my attention.

It hits theaters September 8, 2017.

Next up:

“War of the Planet of the Apes”

Directed by “Matt Reeves” (“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”, “Clovefield”) the follow up to the previous smash hit films, this extend prequel series stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Judy Greer and Steve Zahn.

The film depicts the final confrontation of the humans and apes in a epic showdown of classic survival of the fittest.

The trailer works on visceral level, depicting the emotional hardships of the war and Ceasers world weary and restless attitude towards the whole situation. The series thus far has been a great viewing experience and have no reason to think this won’t be otherwise.
