IN THE MEDIA REPORTS: Civil War Promo Art Confirms The Two Sides

Civil War
Cap v Iron Man: Civil War

Courtesy of the YouTube personality Mr. Sunday movies, we now have our first “official” look at the rosters for the upcoming Marvel movie spectacular that is Captain America: Civil War.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Team Iron Man
Team Tony: War Machine, Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther, Vision

Now it’s interesting, because in a recent claim from Heroic Hollywood, it was Spider-Man on Tony’s team and not Black Panther. Panther’s involvement stems from the idea that (SPOILERS), Winter Soldier is the one that murder his father, and Tony believes that Winter Soldier killed his parents as well. So maybe that might be why they are teaming up on the same side?

Team Cap: Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Falcon, Winter Soldier.
Team Cap: Hawkeye, Sharon Carter, Captain America, Falcon, Winter Soldier.

This is also an interesting one too, because again, allegedly via Heroic Hollywood, Scarlet Witch was pegged to be on Captain America’s team and not Sharon Carter, though this does make more sense, giving the developments that occurred in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I do wonder why exactly The Winter Soldier is fighting for Cap, last we saw him his memories weren’t quite up to snuff, but this does spawn some intriguing speculation.

Duel
Duel

This seems to be ripped straight out of the Civil War comic, where that double paged spread of both sides stand facing against each other about to duke it out. While I’m not exactly sold on this movie, I am very interested in seeing this play out, but to be honest the film seems more reactionary to another highly anticipated superhero duel match, coming out earlier that year, but giving Marvel’s track record I’m sure we are in for something that is at the very least, really entertaining.
