In The Media Reports: New The Man from U.N.C.L.E Footage

Man from Uncle

Thanks to Warner Bros now instantaneously posting their comic con footage online, we get first cracked at new footage from their Cold War Spy Action/Comedy The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s period of the Cold War, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. centers on U.N.C.L.E. agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin. The two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo’s only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find her and prevent a worldwide catastrophe.

The footage is great and gives off a kind of retro Kingsman vibe, very 60s bond Esq but double the smarts and style. Henry Cavill looks charming as ever, as does Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander. This looks like a movie worth looking out for.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Henry Cavill, Alicia Vikander, Armie Hammer, Jared Harris and Hugh Grant and will be hitting theaters, August 14, 2015
